If you look at the derivation of the term you used, all Palm applications are TSRs
since they all stay resident in RAM upon
completion.
IMNSHO, this is desktop computer mentality at its extreme going toward the Palm.
Please remember that external, persistent media
such as a memory card, floppy disk or hard drive is not present in the basic Palm and
most other handheld computer systems due to
size, weight, power and cost. Hmmm, I wonder if anyone would be interested in doing a
paper tape reader as a Springboard module! :)
Please be more specific in what you want to do and I'm sure someone in this group can
give you a good recommendation.
