Hi, I have a IIIx and have encountered this problem. I also noticed
that when I pressed the power button after a long period of time (like
maybe 24 hours), then it would take about 1 second for the device
to turn on. After
speaking with Palm tech support, the solution is to do
a Hard Reset on the device. Then the date/time start working
again as normal. In the year that I have owned my IIIx I
have had to do this two times. Palm acknowledged that this is a
known problem.
