On most Palm devices, I can create a database with an arbitrary type (such as 'xyzy') and the database will show up in the applications list which I see when I choose "App/Info" or any other "App" menu item in the application launcher, as long as it has its own creator ID. On the Palm VII, however, I have found that database whose types are not 'appl' or 'prc' do not appear in the applications list. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
