I have an application which only responds to sysAppLaunchCmdNormalLaunch;
for all other launch codes, it simply does a return(0). When I installed
this application in a handheld using a standard HotSync, however, at one
point on the screen of the handheld (I believe it was while the Macintosh
Backup conduit was running) I saw an error message which is found in one
of the tSTR resources of this application! (ID=1006). Is this some kind
of conflict with a system resource? I ran into a related (not identical)
problem a while back (having to do with displaying a date selector on
screen) and if I remember correctly, David Fedor told me I couldn't use
ID>=10000 for a tSTR resource because those were used by the system. But
1006?
