I've noticed this also. The newsgroup seems to try to post my message
twice, but seems to reject the second one as it's a copy of the first
message. I'm not sure why it's doing this for some people and not
everyone, though...must be one of those little glitches that accompanies
all server ports.
(I can't help you with the phone, though...sorry!)
