No, there isn't.
The Hotsync manager simply listens on a port. When you press the hotsync button
or start a hotsync from the palm app, it sends a message saying "hey, I want to
hotsync". No matter how hard you try, you can't get something that only
listens, to speak.
When you press the hotsync button, it just shorts 2 pins in the cradle, which
are not connected at all to the PC. This generates an event which starts up the
hotsync app on the Palm, and starts the hotsync process.
It is physically impossible to start it from the PC.
