DumpEvents is a simple developer tool for watching which events happen. It requires the PalmDebugger from the Palm OS Developer Suite. On the debugger running on your desktop it reports the event name or number, and then for a number of events a bit more data (e.g., for ctlSelectEvent, it tells you the control ID and the active form). There is nothing sophisticated or hard to implement about DumpEvents. But it did take an hour or two to get right, so I thought I'd post it to save that hour or two of effort to anybody else who needs it. It's basically like the events watch window in Simulator, but may be useful for figuring out problems for apps that don't run on the Simulator or for other reasons. At least it was useful for me in figuring out an issue with my Accessorizer (which lets you run arbitrary apps as Desk Accessories on top of other apps). Oh, and it's 100% public domain. Do whatever you like with it, and don't hold me responsible for anything. -- For information on using the ACCESS Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.access-company.com/developers/forums/
