Instead of looking for keyHoldEvent, one can look at the auto repeat flag on the keyDownEvent.
That said, my TX does generate a keyHoldEvent for chr=0x13d (I think this is vchrHardRockerCenter; not to be confused with vchrRockerCenter). Interestingly, I think keyHoldEvents cannot be seen from a 'hede' notification handler.
