Yes, I use GCC and do this all the time.
And *what* Intel bias??? The GCC in prc-tools is a M68K cross-compiler,
regardless of the host on which it runs. Any cross-compiler that's worth
anything at all certainly knows how memory is organized in the target for
which it is compiling.
