Code Warrior is still the best in my opinion. unfortunately its support seems to be somewhat suspect and it's not clear how long the product will last. there is also NSbasic but its a big footprint. great for prototyping...

you have to pay for these two products, as far as the open source freebies, well they are FREE and open for debate, I guess you get what you pay for. I have not been able to do a clean install of the PODS free product (you can pay for the cd) on windows XP. I imagine the problem is with XP not with the PODS product.

Hi,

years ago I wrote a palm application using code warrier 5.0. I have not worked with the palm since. I have been asked to write a new palm app. What is the best toolkit and development tools to write a new applicaiton? Are they any good books to help me develope it the proper way? I will also need this application to perform autoupdates so any ideas.
