Does anyone else find this a weird request?
Is there a legitimate reason to want to programmatically mess with
the bookmarks on the browser?

I tried both and it seems that the only API available is to open the
browser in the bookmarks page. This is not useful to me because I
don't really need to interact with the browser, I want only to
access the bookmarks. I imagine that they are stored in a database,
but which one is it, and what is the format of the records?
