I've been very happy, if not impressed, with the Rand McNally Palm GPS
. The one I have is based on the PalmV modem so it still sits neatly in
my pocket. The Palm III version is bulkkier.
I use rechargeble batteries with it and they are usually good enough
to last me a full day's use.
