Hi all,
Thought I'd give back a little to the community...
Here is a demo prc that does HTTP Post over NetLib
ftp://slothware.net./netdev.prc
Here is the source code - go wild (but don't ask questions unless you want
to cough up some $$)
ftp://slothware.net/netdev.zip
Warning: the demo POST defaults to a cgi at slothware that will log your IP
and Post data. However, you can point the demo to where ever you want. But
this is available for a quick/dirty evaluation on your part. (Besides, I
kinda want to see where you all are from...)
Notes:
Codewarrior project in zip format.
No concern given to making it look pretty, it just works.
There may be bugs in the provided demo UI - I don't care, that's not the
point of this code.
An attempt to mimic the connection states of iNetLib was made. This allows
you to provide an active UI while the NetLib thread is doing its thing.
This only supports POST to plain http: URLs. Modify to your hearts content.
I do a goofy thing of storing the POST and reply parts of the HTTP
transaction as resource 'tSTL' in the app resource database itself. You may
want to change this. But it does make for a handy post mortem using a
database browser like Insider.
If you make some mondo changes and want to feed them back to me, OK. But
only if you allow me to use the changes for ANY purpose i see fit,
including, but not limited to release to the Palm developer community at
large.
