Really? Most serious imaging apps I know of take 8bpp (palette of 256 colors) as their LOW end. 4bpp is a palette of 16 colors. This is essentially the original DOS color mode ... not really suited for imaging. What sort of imaging are you doing with color depth that low? -- -Richard M.
