Hi Rik, The connector at the bottom of the Palm V is used for serial comms and charging only.
The only way to send a "low battery" condition to the Palm is to generate a HotSync interrupt, which can launch your application. Your app can then open the serial port and use RS232 to get battery information from the attachment. Sorry it's not the answer you're looking for!
