Just food for thought, but I was wondering how a "keyboard" application works. For instance, if you go buy the palm folding keyboard, or the go-type keyboard, they both ship with PRC files for you to execute and basically click on a checkbox saying "enable keyboard".
I can understand that the keyboard sends data via the serial port, but how does this data get received? The palm OS is single threaded, so there can be no "SerReceive()" loop waiting for these keystrokes. Yet all applications can then accept input from the keyboard. I was just curious to see if anyone had an idea of how this works? Notifications? System events? I'd appreciate all thoughts. As i believe i'll be head to head with a similar problem soon... thanks, michael -- For information on using the ACCESS Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.access-company.com/developers/forums/
