If you want to clear the bits...
char *ClearFirstLastBits(char *TheString)
{
if(StrLen(TheString)
{
TheString[0] &= 0xFE;
TheString[StrLen(TheString)-1] &= 0xEF;
}
return TheString;
}
You really can't 'remove' the bits because you need 8 bits to make up a
character. If this is not what you're looking for, could you be more
specific.
