I've been watching on the sidelines as more companies are making postings like this on the forum. I can say that we've also been the recipient of e-mail inquiries for "palm development talent" where our names were clearly skimmed from the list.
Are there any rules or guidelines regarding this type of post here? If its generally OK, my company would certainly make a similar post, we are (always) looking for good Palm developers as well. On the other hand, I think this forum is a very valuable resource, and that value might be degraded if it turned into a job posting area. I actually have no biased opinion either way, I can see that job postings are valuable to those who would be interested, but if Vindigo (or whoever) posts an ad, I'd like to feel comfortable that Bachmann Software can post as well without getting flamed back. Does "the moderator"(s) have any policy on this? Also, are there alternative Palm-specific portals/web sites that are setup for this very purpose? Does Palm itself have an area to make job postings on www.palmos.com? Thanks, and sorry for the off-topic posting.
