waking device up

I have a program which sets a function callback alarm with AlmSetProcAlarm.
When that alarm goes off, it re-launches my program with a custom launch
code for the purpose of poping up a dialog box if certain conditions are
met.  What i can't do is make the device wake up if it is asleep at this
point.  Is this posable?  If so how do I do it?
