This also happens on the PalmOS 3.2 debug ROM.

Unfortunately, this also seems to happen for any multiline field.  I tried
it on a multiline field in the Address Book application.

I was able to reproduce it also by typing a letter then return, then just
using the arrows to go between lines.  It seems to be triggered by using an
arrow down when the cursor is at the end of the last line.  Arrowing down
from before the "a" doesn't cause it to fail.
