Try using DmGetNextDatabaseByTypeCreator, using type 'appl' and the creator
ID of the application you're searching for. It returns dmErrCantFind if it
can't find the database.

what ways can i detect if an app has been installed on a unit? or present
atleast?
i can do this atm with detecting if it has existing DB's or existing pref's
but how do i detect it if i just want to detect the app itself?
