That was my bad. There is a setting in the server manager that restricts
access to guests, however the setting states that it only affects the web
interface (which we clearly don't have). I wasn't aware that it also
affected the newsgroup interface.
Note that this only affects those of you who browse the forum's using a
newsgroup reader.
To configure your newsgroup reader, enter your email address in the "account
name" field and the password you used when you subscribed in the "password"
field. If you don't remember setting a password, you can send the following
command to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to add a password to your dev forums
account:
set <list-name> pw=<password>
If you've forgotten your password, you can either unsubscribe and
re-subscribe, or send me email and I'll reset it.
I'm terribly sorry about the inconvenience. I would have posted a message
to the forums first if I thought the change would have affected newsgroup
access.
