A kind developer has sent me the Update 1 Zip file, so I've been cured.
But in case anyone else experienced this problem (it stayed with me
for over 2 months...), let me describe it in detail:
I'm using Netscape 4.7x, which forced a SmartDownload of files.
With just that one file from the Palm website, all that was downloaded
was a 20KB file that could not be unzipped.
I now see that the real file is over a megabyte.
