My guess is the answer is "just because".  That exception handling system was
designed with CodeWarrior Pro in mind, where the existance of globals is no
problem. It just doesn't translate well to the Palm.

Does anyone know why CW uses global memory for the exception handling (it
seems to use about 2 bytes per try catch block).  I know Palm offers its
own exceptions based on setjump, but I am more currious as to why the
compiler needs the global space.
