Ok I solved this problem.
First FldSetUsable actually does not do what I want it to do. I want to
make the field editable not usable (it already is usable). I don't think
there is an API to do this for fields.
Second the problem the debug ROMs have is if the field height is less than
12 for the standard font they complain. For example a numeric field of
height 10 for a font size of 9 will display all the numbers just fine but
the debug ROM throws up the error message of invalid insertion point.
