The New iMac DV (the $1K version) comes with all the palm desktop software preinstalled. But if you think it would work with my Visor, you'd be wrong, since it doesn't have a USB driver, nor is there one anywhere on Handspring's site (It is in the hotsync prefs though - Handspring/USB is a choice, but every time I press the HotSync button it asks me if I want to search [but not ultimately] find the driver. (No, I didn't install any handspring software - NONE of it indicates it has any USB drivers and I don't want to break what is there). Sigh. Then I downloaded the Mac Conduit CDK. 4 or 5 times. It UnSited, but that resulted in an icon indicating breakage. I also tried Lynx on my linux machine - and did the UnSit there (without error), but the resulting macbinary wouldn't install. Double sigh. So, is the Macintosh a supported platform for Palm and Handspring, or is this some kind of very unfunny joke? I just wanted to do two things. Hotsync my Visor and test Conduit development (BTW- I have CW v5, and don't know where to find the antique version that the web page says is supported; it is rather silly to NOT support any tool to develop I can actually buy). The iMac worked great - Everything set up easily - except Palm stuff. -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
