I'd agree with this except for one problem - my read-only fields are
displaying text from database records and I'm getting record modification
problems (to be explicit, the first character of the text is being set to
NULL). I spent a lot of time trying to work out how my code was doing this
before I realised that the only item that actually had write access to the
database was the field (in spite of the fact that the database is opened
readonly).
Anyway, has anyone else seen this and can advise me as to what I might be
doing wrong?
