After installing the Service Pack #1 for Windows 2000, I can no longer run
the debugger with the palm OS emulator. All attempts to download result in:
Failed to connect to remote. I had been running this combination without
difficulty for more than a couple of months and no other changes were made
on my machine. I have a laptop with Windows 2000 on which I have NOT yet
installed SP1 and that still works just fine.
I did note that SP1 caused problems with Zone Alarm's highest security
settings, and I also noticed that Zone Alarm reported that the Palm OS
emulator was trying to function as an internet Server(?!), but I completely
disabled and removed ZoneAlarm (which I had also been running without
difficulty for a couple of months).
Question: has anyone else loaded Sp1 under Windows 2000? If so, do you see
this same problem. Backing out of a Service Pack will require a full
re-install of Windows 2000 - not something I relish, and I don't want to try
that if it has nothing to do with this problem...
