me too...I have had to duplicate medical forms that say "choose one" and
then present checkboxes (on paper).
If the FDA likes it, then so do I.

I don't know about the author's situation but I have a couple of apps where
grouped check boxes are more appropriate. In my case its what the user is
use to using and it just looks less confusing on the screen.
