Here is a thought...
Making use of the application launch codes sysAppLaunchCmdInitDatabase and
sysAppLaunchCmdSystemReset,
you could trap these and ensure your button is mapped.
In order to create the reset, the only way I can think of causing this would
require a simple conduit which one time only
would cause a reset once finished. The conduit would need to be installed
when your app is. InstallShield may possibly be used.
