I've got two IIIC's. I've got a drawing program, using the pen input to
paint pixels on the screen. On one of my IIIC's, I receive penMoveEvent's
with what I would describe as small variations each time - +/- one or two
pixels - even if I am holding the pen PERFECTLY still. On my other IIIC it
is not so good - +/- 5 pixels or more while hold the pen still. On the
latter device, I see the problem with standard PalmOS apps and the basic
buttons being very difficult to press (the OS must think the pen is bouncing
around and not hitting the button).
This is very frustrating, to say the least. But my real concern is that it
isn't just this one device. How many of you out there have noticed the same
phenomenon on your IIIC's?? I bought mine about two months ago (both of
them).
I believe it is a manufacturing problem - on the poorer device I can correct
it temporarily by very forcefully rubbing the screen with a clean cloth.
Then the app runs OK for about 5 minutes. But after that it is back to huge
jumps in motion.
Anybody out there got any ideas on what to do? Testimonials?
Sorry if this is a repost of any prior questions, I could not find anything
on eGroups...
Thanks everybody,
Brian G.
