Help! Palm OS with EZ ROM Problem

Ok, I posted this earlier...no response.  So I'll try again.

Does anyone know why the EZ ROMS/Hardware serial port functions work
differently and/or not at
all?   Specifically the Palm VIIxEZ does not seem to work at all.

Palm?
