Follow these steps and maybe you'll get a better response:
1. Give us an outline of what you're trying to do.
2. Don't assume you've found the problem, decribe the symptoms you are
seeing, we will help to determine what the problem is. In this case, you
are assuming the functions work differently, but give absolutely no
supporting information about how you arrived at that conclusion, nor what
the expected vs. observed results.
3. Define "doesn't work"
