There's no such thing as a "Palm VIIxEZ". What device are you really emulating?
If you're using Poser 3.0a6, I guess I should assume you're really emulating the
EZ-based version of the Palm VII. However, I would urge you to first try Poser
3.0a7 to see if the problem still exists.

Ok thanks for the response I'll try to be more clear.
I have an application that opens and reads data coming in through the serial
port. This application has been and is working fine on all platforms except
the Palm VIIxEZ. The symptoms I see are as follows:
1. I open the serial...no problems here.
2. I reset the rs232 buffer to a larger size, 1024, again no errors.
3. I start a loop that checks the serial port for data via a
SerReceiveCheck. I wait until at least 500 bytes are in the receiver
buffer. Here is were things start to act strange, this function never sees
data in the receiver buffer.
4. I then retrieve the data via a SerReceive...I never get to this part of
the code.
POSER never complains or displays any errors. If I try one of the other
ROMS, such as the Palm VxEZ debug the application works normally, except
occasionally I will receive a HWInterupt Error from POSER. However the
application doesn't crash. If I run it on any other of the NON EZ ROMS I
have no problems at all. I am using CW R5 and POSER 3.0a6.
