I'm building a program to talk to a custom hardware device using a serial
interface. I'd appreciate pointers to any/all information on the Palm
device serial hardware.
I've used the Serial Manager before. How does one talk to the serial
hardware at a lower level? Specifically, is there a way to manipulate the
control lines manually?
I gather that the Serial Manager can perform hardware flow control
automatically, which would use the RTS/CTS lines. What, if anything, are
the DTR/DSR lines doing? Are they controllable programatically? Also, is
there any way to poll the status of RI or CD?
