Short answer: No. Hotsync will launch your app, so you can set a
flag, but if that new prc is backed up, and hotsynced to a different
palm it would still have that flag set.
To give the Halting Problem insoluability answer, what if someone
beams me an application, and I then hotsync (backing it up), and then
reinstall it via hotsync. Should that installation be considered a
beam or a hotsync?
If you explain why there might be a difference, there may be a way of
accomplishing what you need to do.
