I'm looking for a data & html synchronization architecture for a distributed app. (similar in architecture to Vindigo although for a totally different purpose) I'm looking mainly at AvantGo but also Wavesync and ScoutSync. It needs to do the usual things: bi-directional synchronization (wirelessly or via hotsynch), compression, encryption, allow personalization... We're supporting Palm initially but other devices will follow shortly. AvantGo seems to be the most feature rich so far. The client app will be HTML and C++. The front end will probably be HTML integrating with C code libraries (a la CGI). The C stuff might be ported to Java for some devices. Unfortunately the KVM for the Palm seems to work very poorly so we're going with Codewarrior. Any comments/suggestions/recommendations? Thanks. -Bill PCSI is now blueflame!
