I've been told by our Symbol rep as well as a couple of engineers from
Symbol that the new API will be fully 3.5 compliant, and I'd imagine that
the OS would be upgraded to 3.5 as well (Symbol tweaks and adds some
things in the OS and flash version, obviously). It'll be a little while,
though...the API has apparantly been in beta for some time now. (who
knows, though...Symbol is fairly generalized about release dates, so it
could come out tomarrow, for all we know).
