The sound output quality of a Palm is not very good. There have been a few
demo apps that attempted output speech or high quality sound but it still
sounds muffled and faint. Have you looked into using a TRGPro branded Palm?
It has a standard speaker and an API that can play WAV files recorded on the
PC.
