Does this happen with a single resource file, or any file at all? If you
fire up Constructor on its own, and try to create a new project, what
happens? Was this a fresh install on this system, or was there an existing
version that was upgraded? Is there anything funny about the configuration
- are you opening a read-only file (I know first-hand that constructor
completely ucks fup when told to save over a read-only file..) or opening
something on a mapped drive, anything at all out of the ordinary?
So they say that Palm wrote the Constructor, eh? That would go some ways
to explain how slipshod the connection between it and the IDE is, and how
generally shoddy Constructor is in general.. (I use it - doesn't mean I
have to like it. ;->

Subject: constructor problem
I'm having a problem with constructor, It hangs when it tries to
open a resource file. This happens if I double click on the .rsrc
file in the IDE or if I open constructor separately and try to load
the resource file. I have spoken to Metrowerks about this problem
but they have been unable to resolve the issue. They suggested I
contact Palm about it since Palm actually wrote constructor, but I
haven't gotten ant response from them. I've upgrade to version 1.5b7,
I've tried re-installing several times and deleting the constructor
prefs
files and folders in the WINNT directory, but the problem still exists.
Any advise. Thanks,
Mark
