You must have missed something. I have Constructor 1.5b7 and it has no
problem with App Icon Family icons. (I assume that must be what you are
talking about -- I believe that Multibit Icons only have two types: B&W and
2-bit.)
Here are the steps to create the small (list) icon:
1. Open your resource file with constructor.
2. If you already have an Icon or a Multibit Icon with ID=1001, delete it.
3. Select "App Icon Families" and press ctrl-K to create a new App Icon
Family.
4. Give it a name and set its ID to 1001.
5. Double-click to open your icon family.
6. Set the size of the icon family to 15w by 9h.
7. Select "Family Items" and press ctrl-K once for each family member you
want to create (1, 2, 4, 8 bits).
8. For each family item:
a. Enter a unique ID.
b. Click the Create button.
c. Select Options | Set Image Size, change the size to 15w by 9h and click
Resize.
d. Paste in or draw the picture you want to use.
e. Close the bitmap editor.
