I have a couple of really basic questions. I apologise if they are too
trivial, but I was unable to find information anywhere, so please bear with
me.
Q1: I have a static library and in Codewarrior, the code segment size is 34K
and the data segment is 500 bytes. But the compiled library size is 66K. The
library does not contain resources, so I assumed that lib size would be the
sum of the segment sizes. Why is there a difference in the size?
Q2: I have a test application that links with the static library. The size
of the prc file for the app is 32K. Again, I had thought that when an app
links with a static library, its size grows by the same amount as the lib
size, but apparently I was wrong. Shouldn't my app size be > 66K?
Could anyone out there please enlighten me with regards to the above?
