Yes, you can. If you look here:
http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/docs/palmos/EventRef.html#925384, you'll notice
the last event in the enum, "firstUserEvent". Basically, you can start using
this to create your own events, just increment the event number for each event.
ex:
myEvent1 = firstUserEvent;
myEvent2 = firstUserEvent + 1;
