You definitely have to compile your project (Project | Make, or F7) before
it will work.  If the compiler can find the header needed to compile your
project, then it should be able to take you to that definition.  However, I
have noticed that sometimes it just won't find certain symbols, usually it's
ones I defined within the same source file.
