Hi Paul,
Have you tried deleting the .RAM file that is created in the same directory
as your ROM file.
1. Shut down the emulator
2. Delete the .RAM file from the Emulator Rom directory
3. Restart emulator.
This has always helped me with those intermittent, annoying "No Connects"
