subscript characters...

I suppose this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find
anything about it on any FAQ or archive.  So here it is:

How can I display a string (in a Label preferably) that contains subscript
characters?  An example would be to display "H2O" in a Label with the '2'
subscripted.
