Just run the hotsync application , say , with SysUIAppSwitch.
LocalID syncID = DmFindDatabase (0, "HotSync");
...
SysUIAppSwitch ( 0, syncID,0,0);

hope everyone is well. i was curious if it is possible to invoke a hot
sync programatically.
