True, although there are probably other bugs as well in various ROMs
that similarly prevent proper testing of people's apps if their gremlins
happen to come across them. Could you use a different gremlin that
doesn't trip over this problem -- or not as soon, anyway?
An updated debug ROM is unlikely, but a future version of Poser could
perhaps avoid triggering on this error, and I've talked to Keith about
doing this.
By typing long strings into the Find dialogs on an English ROM and a
French one, you can see that the problem is that the field's maxChars
field is wrong in the French ROM. You could even search your ROM file
for "Chercher:" and find the particular byte that is wrong. That might
be an interesting exercise... :-)
