Miss interpited End of String '\0'

I am running the latest Codwarrior for windows with service patch 1 applied.

If I have a string that looks like "0045\0A\002:00\0   1\0", the first
string is correct 0045 the second string becomes A\2:00

What can I do to relsove this?
