viewing this forum using a news reader

Does anyone know why I can't view this forum with my news reader?  It always asks me 
for a password every time I try.  It also asks
me for a pass word when I try to sign up for the mailing list but even though I don't 
have a password that it likes it seems to
work.  Does anyone know what I am doing wrong
